The bibliographic discovery system as a data access platform is a homogenous system with integrated library systems that allows integrated and coherent access to other libraries, databases (such as Site Direct, Absco, ProQuest, etc.) and data sources. Some of the features of this system are described below:
- The ability to seamlessly access other databases and data sources required by the user community outside of the library catalog or information center.
- The ability to set, add, edit and delete items from the list of databases and data sources required by the library or information center to the bibliographic discovery module.
- The possibility of accessing shared databases and open access at the same time through the bibliographic discovery module.
- The possibility of collecting metadata from other databases and data sources required by the library and information center and the possibility of accepting it through OPEC.
- The ability to define and determine the level of access to all types of databases and resources accessible through the bibliographic discovery system for different user groups.
- The possibility of managing access to the full-text version of the resources available in accessible databases in the bibliographic discovery system for intellectual property rights.
- Automatic identification and identification (Authentication) of users to access (data) databases and capabilities accepted in the bibliographic discovery system.
